The Titin C1 is a very exciting revolution in an emerging field of shoulder injuries. “Smart rehabilitation” is an area in shoulder surgery that has become a very hot topic around many courses and conferences, as it has the potential to have drastic impacts on how our patients recover after shoulder injuries. It is the future of rehabilitation, both after injury and post-surgical, with the ability to markedly improve our patient’s abilities to improve the rate and ultimate outcome of their recovery. Titin C1, by providing real time analytics through flexibility and strengthening in every plane, has the potential to lead the way in this smart rehab revolution. And the exciting aspects of this particular product are its ability to be used on everyone from our professional overhead athletes, to our weekend warriors, to older patients recovering from shoulder replacements. This is very exciting to be a part of this area of shoulder surgery, as we will see drastic changes over the next decade.

The Titin C1 is the most advanced piece of technology I have seen for the shoulder. The wonderful joint sacrifices stability for mobility. The Titin C1 is capable of three plane movement and resistance patterns and the ability to isolate acute painful shoulders, whether from an acute injury or surgical intervention, all the way to advanced movements for professional to recreational athletes. The pronation supination ability for the wrist allows increased muscular inhibition and makes it incredibly unique in the quality versus quantity aspect of rehab. Again , The specific range of motion patterns of Titin C1 allow post op limited motion rehabilitation patients all the way through gross motor dynamic movements providing the benefits of continuous resistance with the flexibility of strengthening in all three planes of movement. Most non traumatic injuries take place in fatigued muscles while in the transverse plane and here is a revolutionary tool to combat both. Physicians will be thrilled with feedback provided by real time analytics in “return to play” decisions and thus can be used to obtain baseline strength data if wanted or not by the athlete. The Titin C1 has the capability to significantly impact shoulder rehabilitation and maintenance programs.
